The word courage has been misrepresented over time. It has become a word of struggle . But for me, courage is not that. It is exactly the opposite. Courage has a peaceful meaning. It is the act of gradually experiencing. And try. To have the courage is to try. The word has much more to do with non-quitting than with striving for a result. Much more than knowing how to fight, having courage is believing. It is much more courageous who goes after a dream all his life, than who takes a gun and shoots. This is not courage, it is impulse.
To be brave you have to be afraid. Fear makes you aware of danger. And for courage to have a positive meaning, and not just impulse, fear is essential. Of course, I am not talking about the fear that holds and keeps silent, but rather it forces you to think before you act, to take elaborate, decent, careful, civilized … Those who are afraid have courage. And the fear component is super important for growth. Without fear of anything, there is no awareness of anything.
